Expected salary range of $124,200 to $138,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

LOCATION

This is a remote position. Up to 10% travel is required, to attend in-office meetings as required. Candidates must reside in the United States and be willing to work a corporate, day-shift schedule on Eastern Standard Time or Central Standard Time.

Our Ideal candidates will reside within commuting distance to one of our major office locations in Baltimore, MD; Chicago, IL; Kennett Square, PA; Boston, MA; or Houston, TX for in-person meetings as needed.

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Analyze key strategic and energy market issues to translate trends into actionable insights to advance the business and competitive position.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Researching Data & Analytics: Leverage external resources and conduct extensive market research through primary and secondary collection methods, analyze findings and provide data-driven, actionable, fact-based intelligence and insights. (15%)

  • Researching Data & Analytics: Responsible for understanding and tracking major competitive announcements and building awareness of competitive dynamics including identification of emerging competitive threats and trends. (15%)

  • Translating Insights into Action: Gather and synthesize quantitative and qualitative data into insights to support the needs of the business at varying levels, from frontlines to executive leadership. (15%)

  • Translating Insights into Action: Develop competitive intelligence, critical insights, and recommendations to influence strategic decisions with key business stakeholders. (15%)

  • Translating Insights into Action: Work on key strategic initiatives, evaluate new corporate development opportunities and ad-hoc research project to support the evolving business and customer needs. (15%)

  • Support Ongoing Business Decisions: Be a proactive partner for the business with frequent, relevant, and timely intelligence, including but not limited to actionable competitive battlecards, bi-weekly competitive updates and ad-hoc requests. (15%)

  • Support Ongoing Business Decisions: Forge strong relationships with key stakeholders (sales, business leads and strategy peers) to understand strategy and pain points, and ensure competitive content is strategically aligned and impactful. (10%)

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS

Minimum:

  • Experience with Research & Analytics: Minimum of 8 years of energy industry related experience with a deep understanding of products, markets, competitors, and business objectives within a broader context to quickly synthesize implications and opportunities for the business.

  • Result-Oriented Problem Solver: A proactive, independent, and detail-oriented problem solver who prioritizes results. Approaches work with an entrepreneurial mindset, taking initiative & ownership. Comfortable with ambiguity and able to ask the right questions for decision-making.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Effectively communicate complex concepts in simple terms. Strong communication and presentation skills. Clearly express succinct recommendations, address objections, and switch between big picture and details. Able to communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including leadership, to promote collaboration and drive results.

  • Teamwork and Interpersonal Skills: Collaborative team player who values input from others and is open to new ideas. Skilled at working with diverse teams to identify and solve problems. Strong interpersonal skills for cross-organizational collaboration and team building.

  • Ethics: Highest level of professional integrity and honesty, as well as personal credibility. Ensures consistency through compliance with appropriate confidentiality guidelines.

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance or other related discipline

  • Comfortable taking direction from SVPs and VPs with self-driven ability to frame ambiguous issues and structure appropriate analysis on strategic initiatives

  • Ability to provide regular written/oral presentations to Key Managers and Directors

  • Intermediate Excel skills, such as pivot tables and v-lookups
